Making the Holidays extra perfect this year
Making a holiday extra perfect is a task that only the women of the house can master. Don’t get me wrong a man can try but its the women who takes on each and every detail making it the perfect fit. The uniquness of a women radiates more on the days that seem more special. The special times of the year that come once a year but the memories last far past her life.
A year long process
All year long she thinks of ways to make the holidays extra perfect each year. Finding gifts to put back all throughout the year or setting aside extra money each month. Each idea that the kids or her husband come up with tucked away in her mind for months and months to come. Perfectly wrapped with love and placed under that tree. She gets it all set out the night before put in to piles of each child. Places stocking stuffers into the correct stockings. Cleans the house so that as they wake they come down to a tidy home.
Morning of the most special day of the entire year.
She quickly awakes and goes down to make sure everything is ready to go. The holiday music is playing in the back ground. A fire is in the fire place. Her camera she has already to take permanent pictures of this holiday morning. The house smells so clean. The tree and all the lights are lite and tiny little feet are running upstairs waiting for dad to say we are ready. She quickly sits on the couch and he announces to the kids we are ready to for you to come down.
Tears in her eyes as she watches the excitement of those coming down the steps.
Excited yelling, stomping down those 12 steps, in a straight line, with toothless grins, and more excitement that can hardly be contained in their tiny bodies. They quickly run to their spots where she has laid their pile of gifts and stockings. The oldest starts with one gift and down the line it goes. The cats play with the wadded up wrapping paper. They each watch each other open. Quickly running to Dad to open it and help them set each box up. She watches with tears in her eyes at the excitement that she once thought she would never be able to experience. The gratitude for the opportunity to love them more than she every thought she could.
